ABOUT CHARLIE
ABOUT CHARLIE
Charlie grew up in Santa Rosa. She studied piano since she was 5 years old, has been doing drama since playing her breakout roll of The Troll in her 3rd grade production of 3 Billy Goats Gruff. She's kept a sketchbook and has been doing art since middle school, and has taught music since she was 16.
Once she graduated from Montgomery High School with the IB Diploma, she went to Principia College in Illinois, and received a B.A. in both Music Performance & Theater. Then she went to "Clown School," aka Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater, an intensive 1-year program dedicated to physical acting training. After getting the Professional Training Program certificate there, she bought a one way ticket to Argentina to advance her tango dancing skills. There, she learned Spanish, got way better at tango, and taught private English lessons.
14 months later, she came home to Santa Rosa, got back into the theater community, and started teaching music again.
In the last 10 years, she's become a sound designer both for theater productions and video games, is on her way to getting a digital audio degree at the SRJC.
She also found she enjoys interior painting, so started doing that regularly. She also loves helping people get projects done and get their houses and businesses organized and arranged, and became a professional organizer.
In 2023, she went to India to get her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate.
She's gotten into pottery, animal tracking, and whitewater rafting. She loves watercolor, and charcoal drawing, and she reads over 100 books a year.
Her favorite animals are ravens, raccoons and octopuses.
She's currently working on a number of works for an art show, illustrating an animal tracking book, and directing kids theater.
